We also offer a growing list of books about Switzerland  for those interested in literature. Skiers find snow reports and web cams under  the Swiss Ski Report page.

If you need to do some searching on the Swiss Internet, you will find over twenty of the best search engines in Switzerland listed.  Aside from our favorite search engine, google.com, you will also find search.ch and bluewin.ch, two very useful Swiss search engines. If you are looking for information about a business or service itsbetter.ch is a search engine specifially designed for those inquiries.  And if  you still cannot find the answer you are looking for, simply send an e-mail to the Swiss Help Desk and they will e-mail you the information you are seeking.

Would you like to know what the weather is in Switzerland? Check out the "google of weather" site wunderground.com or visit one of our ten weather sites. Even better, why not see Zermatt and the snow covered Matterhorn live via web cam or see the beautiful city of Zurich with a view overlooking the lake or the train station live.  Just click on the Web Cams button and choose from a list of over 500 hundred  live Swiss web cams from mountain tops to lakesides.

Whether you want to contact the official Swiss Tourism Office or deal directly with the office of a specific resort town, all the links are on our web site. You can book your airline tickets on the official airline of Switzerland the Swiss International Airlines or you may use one of the internet travel booking sites such as expedia.com or travelocity.com

Switzerland is famous for its outstanding public transportation. There does not seem to be a village, no matter how small, that cannot be visited by train, tram, bus, cable car or ship.   If you have not traveled by train in Switzerland, then you have not experienced the country. Forget everything you have ever known about train travel.  Imagine a system of public transportation fashioned after a Swiss watch. The trains are very modern,  clean and safe, and in true Swiss fashion, extremely punctual.  For information on the train schedules, tickets, etc. just click on the official Swiss Railways site. If you still need a car, you may book your rental car with Eurocar.  For directions to your destination you may want to click on maporama. For hotel reservations you may either book with the official Swiss Tourism Office or click on bed & breakfast or  hotel room.
